Outreach Patient Advocates

I am Becky Korinek, and this is something of a second career for me. I’ve been an educator for over thirty years, and, although I’m still keeping my toe in teaching, I am thrilled to be joining OPA and helping Nicky fulfill her mission of helping clients navigate the healthcare system.

My own health care history is long and varied. I’ve always had chronic asthma, and of course as we get older, it just gets more complicated! I recently navigated the world of back surgery, and that was a big wake-up
call. Nicky has helped me tremendously in taking charge of my health and maintaining a positive attitude.

Together with my two sisters, I help my 87-year old mother with her health needs, too. I know how complicated Medicare and supplemental insurance can be, as well as juggling multiple doctors appointments and medications.

As an educator, I come to OPA with a teaching mindset. My goal is to help others to advocate for themselves. I look forward to helping clients with their health care needs.
